Capstone Turbine Corp., which makes low-emission microturbine systems, said Monday it has received its first order for its C1000 MicroTurbine power systems.
The value of the order from Russian distributor Banking Production Center was more than $2 million.
Two of Capstone's new megawatt power systems will be installed in a new caviar farm in Russia. The order also included three of the company's other systems to be installed in the Ukraine and Belarus.
Capstone has said its new C1000 Series can be configured into 1,000 kilowatt, 800 kilowatt and 600 kilowatt solutions in a single 28-foot-long International Standards Organization container.
Capstone shares jumped 16 cents, or 4.3 percent, to $3.92 in morning trading. The stock has traded between 91 cents and $4.04 during the past 52 weeks.
