MasTec Inc., which builds communication and utility infrastructure, said Tuesday it bought Pumpco Inc., which builds petroleum pipelines.
Privately held Pumpco, based in Giddings, Texas, had annual revenue of about $70 million last year.
The total purchase price was $44 million plus a five-year earnout, said MasTec, which arranged a $22.5 million equipment financing facility in connection with the acquisition.
MasTec expects the acquisition to add to earnings this year.
