Senior Housing Properties prices public offering

Senior Housing Properties Trust said it priced a public offering of 17 million shares of its common stock at $21.09 per share.

The real estate investment trust also said late Tuesday that it raised the offering by 7 million shares from and initial offering of 10 million.

The company plans to use proceeds from the offering to repay borrowings under its revolving credit agreement and for general corporate purposes such as funding acquisitions.

Senior Housing also gave the underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to an additional 2.6 million shares to cover any overallotments.
