Jacobs Engineering gets Estelux contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday it received a contract from Italy's Estelux for engineering, procurement and construction management of a polysilicon factory.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 360 million euro ($560 million) factory will be built at an existing petrochemical site in the northern Italian community of Ferrara and supply polysilicon for solar energy companies.

The factory will reach its 4,000 metric ton per year capacity in 2010.

Estelux makes solar modules and assembles large-scale solar power plants.
