Arch Chemicals Inc. said Thursday it is raising prices globally to offset increased raw material, energy and packaging costs.
Prices will be raised for biocides, substances that kill plants and animal organisms, used in building products, marine anti-fouling paints, health and personal hygiene applications, metalworking fluids and plastics.
Arch also will levy fuel surcharges to offset increased transportation costs.
Price increases take effect on or before July 1, or as contracts allow.
Shares rose 28 cents to $38.89 in afternoon trading.
