NEW YORK (AP) _ Shares of Chindex International Inc., which makes tumor therapy and in-vitro diagnostic equipment, fell sharply Thursday after the company said it swung to a fiscal 2008 fourth-quarter loss on higher taxes and a foreign exchange adjustment.

MIAMI (AP) _ Japanese restaurant chain Benihana Inc. on Thursday said its fiscal fourth-quarter profit fell 30 percent amid a difficult environment for restaurants, but earnings beat analyst expectations.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Shares of Optical Cable Corp. soared Thursday after the fiber optic cable maker reported fiscal second-quarter income rose from the year-ago period.
