Medical equipment maker and distributor Invacare Corp. spent $230,000 lobbying the federal government in the first quarter, according to a disclosure form.
The Elyria, Ohio-based company lobbied on changes to how the federal Medicare program purchases oxygen tanks, hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
Besides Congress, Invacare lobbied the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Food and Drug Administration, and the Health and Human Services Department, according to a form filed April 11 with the House clerk's office.
