US Airways Group Inc.'s plans to cut domestic flights and shrink the size of its fleet may move shares of the carrier on Friday.
US Airways also said it plans to cut 1,700 jobs and charge passengers to check their first bag and add a fee for nonalcoholic drinks during flights.
Meanwhile, Smith & Wesson Holding Corp.'s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings dropped 37 percent, but still came in better than expected. The gun maker said higher marketing costs failed to boost sales, which were flat.
Elsewhere, restaurant operator Denny's Corp. plans to slash 50 jobs, taking a $5 million second-quarter charge, as part of efforts to curb expenses.
Spartanburg, S.C.-based Denny's expects to save $6 million to $8 million in general and administrative expense annually.
