A director at Odyssey Marine Explorations Inc., which explores for and recovers deep-ocean shipwrecks, sold 7,350 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Friday.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, George Knutsson reported he sold the shares for $4.80 to $4.96 apiece Thursday.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Odyssey Marine Explorations is based in Tampa, Fla.
