Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Tuesday it has acquired Marlton, N.J.-based Lance Group LLC, an employee-benefit consulting and brokerage company.

Arthur J. Gallagher, which provides insurance brokerage and claims settlement services, did not disclose financial terms of the deal.

Lance specializes in servicing the public sector industry.

Shares of Arthur J. Gallagher fell 19 cents to $25.87 in the regular session.
