Invesco Agency Securities registers for IPO

Investment manager Invesco Ltd. said Monday it has registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of Invesco Agency Securities Inc., a real estate investment trust.
Invesco said the number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
Invesco Agency Securities is a newly formed Maryland company. According to the SEC filing, it plans to invest in mortgage-backed securities that are guaranteed by a U.S. government agency like Ginnie Mae, or a federally chartered corporation like Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
Invesco Agency Securities plans to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "IVR."
