Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, said Wednesday it will acquire Voluntary Benefits Solutions LLC.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Voluntary Benefits Solutions provides employee benefits consulting and brokerage services throughout the U.S.

The company will continue to operate from its current location in Troy, Mich., under the direction of William Ziebell, Arthur J. Gallagher's north central regional executive vice president for employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.

Arthur J. Gallagher shares rose a penny to $25.88 in afternoon trading.
