RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) _ Casella Waste Systems Inc., a garbage collector and recycler, said Wednesday its fiscal fourth-quarter loss narrowed on an increase in revenue and lower costs.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Disease-management program administrator Healthways Inc. said Wednesday its fiscal 2008 third-quarter profit rose 29 percent as the company signed new contracts and extended current deals.

NEW YORK (AP) _ There are new signs that the worst of the global credit crisis is yet to come, and that banks and brokerages caught up in the market turmoil may lose $1 trillion by the time it has passed.
