Ball Vice President sells 1,000 shares of stock

The vice president and controller of Ball Corp., which makes metal and plastic packaging, sold 1,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Wednesday.

In a Form 4 filed Tuesday with the SEC, Douglas K. Bradford reported he sold the shares Tuesday for $52.04.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Ball is based in Broomfield, Colo.
