Shares of construction and engineering companies climbed on Thursday after a rocky start earlier in the day, as the broader market turned higher amid a decline in oil prices.
Meanwhile, Pike Electric Corp. said it was buying a subsidiary of Shaw Group Inc., sending shares of both companies higher.
