Opening Glance: Electrical equipment opens mixed

Shares of electrical equipment companies started mixed Wednesday after the Labor Department reported that unemployment claims declined by 5,000 last week and the price of crude was volatile.

How shares of some electrical equipment makers are faring:

Flextronics International Ltd., down 17 cents to $10.18.

Commscope Inc., down 8 cents to $54.17.

Wesco International Inc., up 26 cents to $42.24.

Amphenol Corp., up 52 cents to $49.04.
