Business and economics consultant CRA International Inc. said Monday two of its inside directors, Carl Shapiro and Steve Salop, have resigned as part of the company's plan to establish a more independent board.
Both will continue to work as exclusive consultants to the company. All of the company's remaining board members except President and Chief Executive James C. Burrows are now independent under the rules of the Nasdaq stock market, the company said.
Salop served as a director of CRA since 1998 and Shapiro since 2000.
The company said it is reviewing the makeup and size of the board, which now has seven members.
