Pinnacle West Capital names OGE executive as CFO

Electric utility Pinnacle West Capital Corp. said Monday that James R. Hatfield has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Pinnacle West and affiliate Arizona Public Service Co.

The appointment is effective July 14.

Hatfield, 50, joins Pinnacle West from OGE Energy Corp., where he served as CFO since 1999.

Hatfield will report to Pinnacle West President and Chief Operating Officer Don Brandt, who previously served as CFO.

Pinnacle shares gained 24 cents to $32.35 in morning trading.
