Shares of construction and engineering companies ended lower with the broader market Tuesday after a reading on June consumer confidence fell sharply while oil prices rose.
The Conference Board said consumer confidence fell to 50.04 in June, well below economists' estimate of 56.5. Meanwhile, oil prices rose 26 cents to settle at $137 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Granite Construction Inc., down 90 cents, or 2.7 percent, at $32.86.
URS Corp., down 98 cents to $45.04.
Perini Corp., $1.08, or 3.1 percent, to $34.18.
Chicago Bridge & Iron Co., down 80 cents to $42.99.
