Spectra Energy spent over $205,000 lobbying in 1Q

Natural gas supplier Spectra Energy Corp. spent more than $205,000 to lobby on energy and tax issues in the first quarter, according to a recent disclosure form.

The Houston-based company lobbied on a bill to limit tax assessments for natural gas pipelines, renewable energy incentives and the economic stimulus legislation signed by President Bush in February, according to an April 18 filing with the House clerk's office.
