Standard & Poor's said it will move diagnostic and detection systems maker Idexx Laboratories Inc. into the S&P MidCap 400 index, and replace it with chemical producer Balchem Corp. in the SmallCap 600 at the close of trading Wednesday.

Idexx will replace Getty Images Inc. in the MidCap 400. Getty is being taken private by Hellman & Friedman LLC in a deal expected to close this week.
