Closing Glance: Health care stocks decline

Shares of health care providers and service companies lost ground Tuesday as the markets endured an uneven session.

Here are afternoon results from a few key stocks in the sector:

Medical lab operator Quest Diagnostics Inc. shed 76 cents to $47.61.

Health insurer UnitedHealth Group Inc. fell 62 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $25.63, and reached a four-year low of $25.29.

Drug distributor McKesson Corp. dipped $1.06 to $54.85.

Dental and veterinary supplier Patterson Cos. slid 25 cents to $29.14.
