DES PLAINES, Ill. (AP) _ Schawk Inc., a provider of digital imaging services, said Wednesday its first-quarter profit dropped 29 percent, hurt by reductions in marketing and promotional activities by its clients.

AKRON, Ohio (AP) _ A. Schulman Inc., which makes plastic compounds and resins, said Wednesday its fiscal third-quarter profit fell 30 percent as higher costs offset increased revenue.
