Millicom names Roger as CFO, replacing Sach

Millicom International Cellular SA on Thursday named Francois-Xavier Roger as chief financial officer effective Sept. 1.

He will replace David Sach, who is leaving at the end of 2008 to pursue other opportunities.

Roger comes to the company from Groupe Danone, where he served as vice president of corporate finance.

Shares of the Luxembourg-based wireless carrier rose 58 cents to close the abbreviated trading session at $95.
