Textron, Alliant Techsystems get $38.5M Army pact

A unit of industrial conglomerate Textron Inc. and military contractor Alliant Techsystems Inc. received a $38.5 million contract from the Army to provide reload sets for an intelligent munitions system, the Pentagon said late Wednesday.

Shares of Edina, Minn.-based Alliant Techsystems added 89 cents to $102.15 in morning trading Thursday, while shares of Providence, R.I.-based Textron added 43 cents to $47.38.
