Shares of construction and engineering companies closed mixed Tuesday.

The broader market rallied on sharp decline in oil prices and the possibility that the Federal Reserve may extend help to the financial sector.

Here's how some shares of construction and engineering stocks fared:

Emcor Group Inc., up 49 cents to $26.06.

URS Corp., up $1.08, or 2.9 percent, to $37.97.

McDermott International Inc., down $2.04, or 3.5 percent, to $55.84.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., down $1.19 to $74.91.
