Chemical and plastics maker Eastman Chemical Co. spent $270,000 in the first quarter lobbying the federal government, according to a disclosure report.
The Kingsport, Tenn.-based company lobbied Congress on legislation related to rail competition, the farm bill, tax matters and other issues.
Besides Congress, Eastman Chemical lobbied the Commerce Department and the International Trade Administration in the first three months of the year, according to the form filed with the House clerk's office on April 21.
