Eight defense contractors including Northrop Grumman Corp. and L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. received a bundled $10.1 billion contract from the Air Force, the Pentagon said late Monday.
Among the several winning contractors included DynCorp International Inc., URS Corp.'s Lear Siegler Services Inc., AECOM Government Services, Computer Support Services, Defense Support Services, L-3's Vertex Aerospace and Kent Construction Co.
The companies will provide depot and organizational level inspection, maintenance, modification and repair at government locations worldwide.
Shares of Los Angeles-based Northrop added 7 cents to close at $65.15, while shares of New York-based L-3 fell 20 cents to close at $90.69. Shares of San Francisco-based URS fell 23 cents to settle at $41.05. Shares of Falls Church, Va.-based DynCorp added 4 cents to $14.92 in aftermarket trading, after falling 66 cents, or 4.3 percent, to close at $14.88.
