LUFKIN, Texas (AP) _ Lufkin Industries Inc. raised its full-year earnings forecast Wednesday after reporting strong growth in the first half of the year.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (AP) _ Trucking company Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. said Wednesday it expects its second-quarter earnings above Wall Street's expectations, citing improved tonnage, stable pricing and better productivity.
