Pratt & Whitney wins $130M deal to build engines

Pratt & Whitney said Friday it received a contract from Uzbekistan Airways for more than $130 million to provide engines for four Boeing 767 aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney, a unit of United Technologies Corp., said the deal includes PW4000-94 engines for the four aircraft plus a spare engine. Deliveries are planned to begin in 2013, the East Hartford, Conn., company said.

The deal is subject to approval from the Uzbekistan government, the company said.
