Xerox unit acquires Sierra Office Solutions

Office equipment maker Xerox Inc. said Friday its Global Imaging Systems unit bought Reno, Nev.-based office technology supplier Precision Copier Service Inc., which does business as Sierra Office Solutions.

Financial terms weren't disclosed. It's the third acquisition this year by Global Imaging as the company expands its network of office technology providers.

Sierra Office Solutions will continue to service its customers as it begins offering Xerox's full range of office printing equipment. Co-owner and President Michael Jauron will continue to lead Sierra.

Xerox shares fell 22 cents to $13.60 in morning trading.
