United Rentals names Jenne Britell board chairman

United Rentals Inc., an equipment rental company, on Monday said Jenne K. Britell has been elected chairman.

Britell, who has been a director since 2006, serves as chairman and chief executive of Structured Ventures Inc., where she has held these positions since 2001.

Previously, Britell served as executive vice president of GE Capital's global consumer finance segment. She also served as president of global mortgage and consumer banking.

Britell also worked as president and chief executive of GE Capital's Central and Eastern Europe division.
