Copa Airlines orders 2 Boeing 737-800 planes

Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Latin American carrier Copa Holdings SA, said Tuesday it ordered two Boeing 737-800 planes, scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011.
Copa has now ordered a total of nine 737-800 planes from Boeing, which Copa Airlines Chief Executive Pedro Heilbron said will help the company serve high-density routes.
Shares of Copa rose $1.07, or 3.4 percent, to $32.67, while shares of Boeing rose 84 cents to $69.10.
