Fla. police: 2 robbers jump 3 Office Depot workers

Police on Florida's central Atlantic coast say they rescued three Office Depot workers after two armed robbers jumped them as they opened their store.

West Melbourne police Cmdr. Steve Wilkinson says one male worker had minor cuts and injuries from being pistol whipped. No one was shot. No customers were in the office supplies retailer when the robbery occurred around 6:35 a.m.

Wilkinson says a SWAT team has been unable to find the suspects. When officers went into the building and rescued the workers from the manager's office, no one else was there.

He says the robbers didn't get the money in the safe, but did steal an employee's wallet.

West Melbourne is about 30 miles south of Cape Canaveral.
