Ciber lifts full-year outlook

Technology consulting company Ciber Inc. on Thursday raised its full-year guidance, and forecast its third-quarter revenue would come in ahead of analyst expectations.
The company now expects 2008 profit between 55 cents and 57 cents per share on revenue of $1.22 billion to $1.23 billion. The company previously forecast profit between 54 cents and 57 cents per share, on sales of $1.15 billion to $1.18 billion.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect earnings of 55 cents per share on revenue of $1.18 billion.
For the third quarter, Ciber projected a per-share profit of 13 cents to 15 cents, and revenue of $300 million to $310 million. Wall Street has targeted a profit of 14 cents per share on more modest sales of $290.4 million.
Ciber shares added 18 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $6.73 in afternoon trading.
