FLIR Systems raises 2Q profit, revenue targets

FLIR Systems Inc., which makes infrared imaging cameras for commercial and military use, raised its full-year earnings and revenue targets after reporting dramatically higher second-quarter results.
The company now expects annual earnings of $1.18 per share to $1.25 per share and revenue of $1.05 billion to $1.1 billion. In February, FLIR Systems forecast annual profit of $1.13 to $1.20 per share on revenue of $1 billion to $1.05 billion.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, predict 2008 earnings of $1.22 per share on revenue of $1.09 billion.
Shares of FLIR Systems dropped $3.46, or 8.1 percent, to $39.32 in afternoon trading Thursday.
