Hampton Roads names Lorelle Fritsch CFO

Hampton Roads Bankshares Inc. said Thursday that it named Lorelle Fritsch chief financial officer for the company and its subsidiary, The Bank of Hampton Roads.

Fritsch was previously the subsidiary's chief accounting officer.

She succeeds Donald W. Fulton Jr., who is retiring July 31 but will be retained as a consultant.

Fritsch was also elected by the board as a senior vice president and executive officer of the company.

Shares gained 21 cents to 12.40 in afternoon trading.
