NEW YORK (AP) _ Medical product maker Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc. reported a wider second-quarter loss Monday as its research and development costs grew.

SEATTLE (AP) _ Plum Creek Timber Co., a real estate investment trust, said Monday its second-quarter earnings dropped by nearly half due to a challenging lumber market and an impairment charge, but still beat Wall Street's expectations.

ACTON, Mass. (AP) _ Psychemedics Corp., which performs hair testing services to detect drug use, said Monday its second-quarter profit fell 22 percent as a weak job market cut into the company's revenue.
