ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Casino operator Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. said Thursday its net loss widened in the second quarter, falling short of analysts' estimates, on a decrease in gaming revenue.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) _ Trimeris Inc. reported an 87 percent drop in second-quarter profit Thursday as revenue tumbled and a large one-time charge weighed down results.

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Concert company Live Nation Inc. says its net profit in the second quarter shrank 88 percent to $1.2 million, or two cents a share.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Blockbuster Inc. suffered another loss in the second quarter, but the struggling movie rental chain showed signs of progress by wringing more revenue from its stores while lowering its costs.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Natural gas transport and storage company Spectra Energy Partners LP said Thursday its second-quarter profit rose 15 percent on stronger demand and a lower overall tax burden.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ Biotechnology company Alkermes Inc. said Thursday its fiscal 2009 first-quarter profit surged more than threefold on a payment from former partner Eli Lilly & Co.

NEW YORK (AP) _ NorthStar Realty Finance Corp., a real estate investment trust that focuses on commercial properties, on Thursday posted a second-quarter loss after its investments lost value in the credit markets.

BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Communications equipment maker Acme Packet Inc. said Thursday its second-quarter profit declined sharply as revenue slipped and operating costs grew.
