NEW YORK (AP) _ NorthStar Realty Finance Corp., a real estate investment trust that focuses on commercial properties, on Thursday posted a second-quarter loss after its investments lost value in the credit markets.

BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Communications equipment maker Acme Packet Inc. said Thursday its second-quarter profit declined sharply as revenue slipped and operating costs grew.
