FLIR Systems gets $11.1 million US Army contract

FLIR Systems Inc., which makes thermal imaging and stabilized camera systems, said Thursday it received an $11.1 contract modification from the U.S. Army to provide service, upgrades and logistics support for Army and Marine Corps programs.
The modification brings the total value of the contract, which was awarded by the Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, Ala., to $71.6 million, FLIR said.
The company expects to collect $15 million in revenue from the contract in 2008.
Shares of FLIR rose 20 cents to $36.81 in afternoon trading Thursday.
