Among the earnings projection stories for Thursday, Aug. 28, from AP Financial News:

NEW YORK (AP) _ Origin Agritech Ltd., a Chinese seed company, said Thursday that for the 12 months ending in September it expects adjusted net income of $3 million to $4.5 million.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Quanex Building Products Corp. on Thursday lowered its forecast for operating income for the fiscal year that ends in October, citing weakness in its aluminum business.
