Shares of some top education companies are mixed at noon:

Apollo Group fell $1.27 or 1.9 percent, to $64.23.

Career Education fell $.11 or .6 percent, to $18.83.

DeVry rose $.54 or 1.1 percent, to $51.77.

Strayer Education fell $1.90 or .9 percent, to $210.76.
