Panic 2008... Profit 2009!

Shares of some top utilities companies are down at noon:

AEP fell $.56 or 1.4 percent, to $39.30.

ConEd fell $.46 or 1.1 percent, to $41.09.

Duke Energy fell $.26 or 1.5 percent, to $17.58.

Pepco Holdings fell $.19 or .7 percent, to $25.42.

Southern Co fell $.30 or .8 percent, to $37.70.
