(AP) _ MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., which supplies silicon wafers used in the production of computer chips and solar cells, warned Tuesday of "increased softness in demand" from some of its semiconductor customers because of their efforts to reduce inventory, a revelation that sent the shares down nearly 3 percent in after-hours trading.
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ ConAgra Foods Inc. said Tuesday that poor performance by its consumer foods segment will take a toll on its first-quarter results.
WASHINGTON (AP) _ Chip maker Altera Corp. reiterated Tuesday that it expects its third-quarter sales to range from in line with to as much as 3 percent below its second-quarter sales of $359.9 million.
