Curtiss-Wright acquires Parylene Coating Services

Curtiss-Wright Corp., which makes flow-control and motion-control products and provides metal treatment services, said Thursday it bought certain assets and liabilities of Parylene Coating Services Inc. for roughly $7.6 million in cash.
PCS applies parylene coatings primarily for the medical device industry. The business will become part of Curtiss-Wright's metal treatment unit.
In addition to medical applications, parylene coatings are suited for use in electronic, oil and gas and general industrial applications.
Curtiss-Wright is based in Roseland, N.J. Parylene Coating Services is based in Katy, Texas.
