SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Yahoo Inc.'s stock sunk to its lowest level in nearly five years Thursday, magnifying the challenge facing the Internet company as its management tries to justify their rebuff of Microsoft Corp.'s $47.5 billion takeover bid.

LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) _ Ciena Corp.'s market value crumbled by nearly 25 percent Thursday after the telecommunications and network equipment maker forecast a lackluster finish to its fiscal year.

PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Shares of Joy Global Inc. fell with the broader market Thursday as analysts trimmed their price targets for the mining equipment maker following the company's fiscal third-quarter results posted earlier this week.

NEW YORK (AP) _ Shares of Cemex SAB fell Thursday after an analyst cut his price target on Mexican cement maker and said the company will probably trim its earnings guidance to account for a spinoff and Venezuelan nationalization.
