Energy Partners Ltd. said Monday its facilities in the Gulf of Mexico sustained mostly minor damage from Hurricane Gustav. The oil and gas producer also said it is making preparations for the approaching Hurricane Ike.
The New Orleans-based company said it will repair damage to two platforms and a gas sales pipeline that was caused by Hurricane Gustav. The rest of the damage consisted mostly of missing handrails, navigational aids and grating.
Energy Partners also has begun minor repairs to some structures and pipelines in its East Bay field while production in the western area began ramping up Friday.
Company officials said they have begun preparations to secure platforms, facilities and equipment in case Hurricane Ike bears down on the area this week.
Energy Partners is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company with operations along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
