Pitney Bowes Inc. said Tuesday Chief Executive Murray D. Martin also will take on the role of chairman of the mail and document management company's board of directors, effective Jan. 1.
Martin is replacing Michael J. Critelli, the company's executive chairman and former CEO who previously announced he will retire at the end of the year.
Martin became CEO in 2007 after a nearly 20-year tenure with the Stamford, Conn.-based company.
Pitney Bowes shares rose 30 cents to $36.66 in early morning trading Tuesday.
