Affiliated Computer Services Inc. said Wednesday it signed a $551 million information technology outsourcing contract extension with Ingersoll Rand Co.

The 10-year pact allows Affiliated to continue to service Ingersoll Rand's data center and network requirements and help mesh its Trane Co. acquisition into operations. Ingersoll Rand, a Montvale, N.J.-based diversified industrial manufacturer, purchased Trane in June.

Affiliated, a technology outsourcing company, will be responsible for servicing Ingersoll Rand networks in the America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
