Akorn signs 10-year contract for eye-care products

Akorn Inc., which makes diagnostic, drug and eye-care products, said Thursday it signed a 10-year contract worth between $2 million and $3 million annually for two new eye-care products.
The contract is with an undisclosed eye-care company and entails developing, making and supplying the new products. They are set to launch in the middle of 2009.
Shares of Akorn fell 4 cents to $5.03 in afternoon trading.
